I have the best lemon cookie recipe you've ever had - I should make you some!
I'm grateful for my guardian angel, my mamma, who watches over me daily.
CANCER SUCKS!! "Doubt Not, Fear Not" - that's my motto
I ran 13.1 miles twice - what was I thinking? at least I got a medal!
Nothing Bundt Cake is my weakness, White Chocolate Raspberry, anyone?
My son is my favorite child, he's also my only child, so it's fair!!!
I Believe in Jesus Christ. His Mercy saves me every day.
Everything needs exclamation points!! Everything!!!!
Like my mamma always said. "It is what it is"
...and now I need another diet coke, from McDonald's - & can you make it dirty?

a few facts

why i do what i do

I photograph weddings and families because even though my version of family might look different than some, I believe in love and I want to celebrate that joy with you. So whether it’s your wedding day or a family portrait session, I want to capture the love of your family and friends to preserve these memories for generations to come. I lost my mom after a four month battle with cancer. She fought with everything she had, but the cancer was too big. I know first hand the healing power of my photos with her, especially during those hard months. When we knew we had limited time left with her, I did what any great photographer would do, I scheduled family pictures. I knew that I would want to cherish those final moments forever, and they are some of my most cherished possessions.

So, when you leave your session and your wedding day is over, I want you to remember the way your mom looked at you in your wedding dress, and the joy in your father’s eyes. I want you to feel the adoration as you see every single smile on your husband's face. To feel the hope of your future together. And if you get to dance with your sister, because your mamma is in heaven, or if you get to dance with your mama here on Earth, I want you to know that I will be there to capture every single beautiful moment of your day. The day that you marry the love of your life surrounded by those who love you the most.

My mom would have been so proud of me, and I know she’s watching me from heaven as I make this dream a reality.

about me!

a little more about me

I never thought I wanted to photograph weddings. I used to say that I was NOT doing weddings,  families have always been my favorite to capture, and weddings terrified me.... but, I fell in love with photographing weddings the minute I looked at my baby brother's wedding photos. They are perfect in EVERY way. It's hard for me to explain how much I love this family of mine and how much they mean to me since we lost our mom. Maybe it's because we all know what it feels like to grieve the loss of our mother, maybe it's because we rallied around each other during those horrible months or maybe it's because we have to lean on each other now and work hard to stay close. Whatever the reason, I'm so grateful to be so close to them and to have had so many opportunities in the last year to capture us together - it's funny that the first year I start doing weddings, I have three brother's get married, smart guys, very smart!!

I'm so grateful for these 6 who are my biggest supporters, my greatest cheerleaders, and some of my best friends. Mamma would always tell us she loved us more, and while I know I can never take her place I really do love you all MORE than you know!
