a few facts

why i do what i do

You probably have 100’s or 1000’s of pictures on your phone, in a cloud or on an external hard drive; you have pictures printed and scattered in boxes throughout your house from the pre-digital days. You’ve been collecting photos for decades, and you don’t even know what you have photos of. You’ve never even thought about how much they mean to you, because you can't even think about how much they would be worth if your loved ones wasn't here.

And then one day, everything changes. One day, your whole world is flipped upside down. One day, you lose your mother to cancer, your family is broken apart by divorce, you lose two nephews at birth, or your sister-in-law dies suddenly. And on that day, you are frantically searching through every photo you have, struggling to come up with ONE good photo to use in their obituary or just trying to remember every moment you had with your loved one. On that day, you understand how much EVERY photos is worth.

One day the photos you have might be the only evidence that your loved one lived. Every photo you have will remind you of a time when they were with you, a time when you never could have imagined that they would be gone. And on that day, your family pictures might just be worth everything.  Like this one is to me.

about me!!!

a little more about me

I never knew I wanted to be a photographer until I became one and I give all that credit to my other passion - scrapbooking! I love photos....It’s a rare thing to see me without a camera in my hand and anyone who knows me, knows that I'll take photos whenever & wherever I am - so if we happen to be together you’ve been forewarned.  I document my life so when I get older, I can read about it! "It's basically a Notebook situation over here!" The joy that fills my heart from the connections I have made through the lens of my camera have turned this little "scrapbooking hobby" of mine into my dream job.

My name is Liberty. I was born in July of 1976, my grandmother said I had to have a patriotic name, and they couldn't have picked a better one. I love that it's so unique.  I am the mom of a funny, sassy, sarcastic boy who is becoming quite a "young" adult. I LOVE connecting with families and working with kids. At a family session, I am often times reminded of my own family. I'm the oldest of 7 (5 brothers and 1 sister). I have 24 nieces and nephews, two who watch over me from heaven, and I'm their favorite aunt! Losing my mom to ovarian cancer in November of 2015 was one of the hardest things I've ever been through, and every day I wish that I had more photos with her.
